Tomorrow I leave for my 2 week trip to the Northeast, to spend a week in DC and a week in NYC. Unfortunately even though it was in the mid 60's last week in DC, the high tomorrow is going to be 36, so basically I'm going to freeze to death since today in Tampa it was a nice 83 and I was in shorts and flip flops. But I found some winter stuff on sale today (including $6 leather gloves and a $5 scarf, gotta love winter clearance sales) and I'm packing all the winter clothes I have in a giant suitcase, so I should make it out with all my fingers and toes intact. And of course expect a giant picture update once I get back, since I plan on seeing a LOT of places and eating a lot of NY pizza.
In news that shouldn't surprise anyone, the reason American's don't want jobs picking oranges is not because they feel it is beneath them, it's that who wants to pick apples for $5 an hour with no benefits when better jobs are available? It's just economics.
Apparently it is quite possible to live on just $30 of food a month.
