We're back in Austin! Paris was amazing and the 6 months flew by. My French is still terrible, but Kara's is pretty good. It's been a little bit of an adjustment of having reverse culture shock (things are so spread apart here, and lanes are so wide!) but we've been making the most of eating Austin and American food we'd missed. We never were able to find good Mexican food.
I also picked up a Nexus 5 since my old phone was dying. I like it a lot so far, but it's a lot bigger than my older phones and even with my large hands feels too big.
Re-hooking up the Internet was also the most painless experience ever. They let you just pick up the cable equipment now, so we had working Internet and TV within 30 minutes of arriving home. No longer must you wait a week for the cable guy to come and plug your cable in.
